Nice basses. I like the one with the rosewood fretboard too, maybe due to the pickup spacing. Oh, by the way, perhaps grab a volume pedal so you don't get that noise when changing basses. I recently bought an Xotic XVP 250k, the gold one. Works a treat :-)

I've owned a Fender Deluxe Jazz and an AVG 75 reissue and they could be set up with a very low action. Both were bought used and may have been setup by techs before I bought them. But I bought a Fender Precision Elite new online, in 2018 and the action has never been great, however much I try to tweak it. It also developed a fault with the jack socket, which is a cheap plastic thing and almost impossible to source a replacement for. I won't be buying a new Fender again, unless I get the chance to play it first.

I did not realize this bass is rare. I found mine in a warehouse for cheap wasting away.

I've owned 40 basses and I can affirm that Greco's from the late 70's early 80's are fantastic basses. My Greco 76 Jazz Bass has a 3 piece neck, something that Fender never did. I also own a P Bass from Tokai, late 70's. Also, incredible finishing. When you open the pick guard and you see how the wood was cut, it's perfection. I also owned many Fenders. I can tell you, there's no need to worship the F brand. Nice video, thanks for sharing.

That upright in the background also looks beastly. Never noticed it leaning there before, if it ever appeared in other vids.

If I’m not mistaken, Sugi factory only has 7-8 luthiers that work on basses all by hand. If you know more, or correct me I’d love to know.

So annoyed with these demos and the guy does almost all slap bass. I wanna see how that thing sounds with a pick not some guy trying to substitute his thumb for one. Epic fail.
